A variety of solid and liquid matrices are analysed by our experienced microbiologists. As standards and guidelines change and progress with respect to suitable indicator organisms in environmental and domestic waters and effluent, the micro lab expands its analytical ability to ensure clients' needs are being met.
We are now NATA-accredited for Legionella testing, which is specifically important in cooling towers. And we're currently developing the methodology for phage testing, the indicator organisms for viruses. The somatic coliphage and F-RNA bacteriophage are required parameters for Class A effluent in Queensland.
