It’s nice to be part of your winning team.

Congratulations to our Senior Relief Operator David Smith on being part of the Dysart WTP team who recently won the award for “Best Tasting Drinking Water” at the Isaac Regional Council 2022 Water Taste Test Competition.

The competition in is its second year and the Dysart Team were one of Seven Water Treatment Plant teams across the Isaac municipality who entered their water sample for tasting.

Isaac Regional Council summoned a team of water sommeliers to conduct a blind taste test of each sample and rate the water.

Simmonds & Bristow Senior Relief Operator David Smith and the Dysart WTP Team claimed the victory at the Isaac Regional Council 2022 Water Taste Test Competition.

There were a number of challenges at the plant with pipes blowing out and things being offline demanding maximum support from David who worked tirelessly over the week leading up to ensure things were up and running for the community.

This is an excellent example of how critical our relief services can be to communities that need the extra helping hands we provide, and representative of the hard work that our relief staff are ready and willing to provide.

A special shout out also to Lydia Montgomery who supports all the Isaac RC operators and operations from our Brisbane Office!
