S&B Reapproved Under Queensland’s Updated Training Framework
Simmonds & Bristow (S&B) is pleased to announce its reapproval as a Skills Assure Supplier (SAS) under the Queensland Government’s updated
vocational education and training framework. This designation enables S&B to continue delivering government-funded training for the water industry through the newly introduced Career Start and Career Boost programs.
These programs represent a significant evolution in Queensland’s approach to workforce development, replacing previous schemes such as the Certificate III Guarantee, User Choice, and Higher Level Skills. The new structure is designed to simplify access to training and better align funding with industry needs.
Career Start and Career Boost: A New Direction for Training
Supports individuals entering the workforce, including through apprenticeships and traineeships. It provides funding for foundational qualifications such as the Certificate III in Water Industry Operations, helping to build a pipeline of skilled professionals in the sector.
Targets existing workers seeking to upskill or transition into higher-level roles. This program supports advanced qualifications like the Certificate IV in Water Industry Operations, enabling career progression and capability development within organisations.
As a reapproved SAS provider, S&B offers a range of nationally recognised qualifications tailored to the operational and regulatory requirements of the water industry. Training is delivered with flexibility to suit organisational needs, including onsite and remote options.
This reapproval reinforces S&B’s commitment to supporting the sector through high-quality, industry-specific education and training. Organisations seeking to take advantage of the new funding opportunities are encouraged to explore how S&B’s programs can support their workforce development goals.
